Oil and encaustic on chip board
In this project, I incorporated the use of multiple mediums including encaustic, acrylic, and oil. The base layer was done primarily with oil on chip board and then with the use of the wax, I was able to produce a glazed surface that imitates the reflective properties of the the store front. Finally, with the use of acrylic paint, I added the finishing details, adding to the dimension of the neon lights.
Grandson of a Man
Grandson of a Man, 2013
Acrylic on Canvas
This piece parodies the The Son of a Man, by René Magritte. In this modern portrayal, the apple in front of the figure's face is replaced by the iconic Apple logo of the iPhone. In the background you can also find the apple found in the original painting. This work emphasizes the consequential effects of technology, which takes away our ability to see the natural beauty around us.

Mixed media (cardboard, spray paint, acrylic, ipad, wire)
As the final for my freshmen design course, I created this flock of security cameras. In the monitor installed below, I played a loop of the footages of my classmates, that I secretly captured as they worked on their own final projects.
